Level 4: Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
Many studies show that Intensive Outpatient Treatment spread out over at
least 90 days and follow-up afterwards is
the most success form of substance
abuse treatment. It may be more successful for long-term success than
inpatient or residential treatment.
90-hour Program, completed in no less than 90 days. Groups meet Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings
at our Six Forks Road location. IOP meets in Durham and Garner on
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 - 9:00 PM. Call for more information.
All groups include participants who come to First Step for a variety of reasons,
not only DWI. Groups include people referred by families, self-referrals,
hospitals, DWI, job/employers, attorneys, probation officers, colleges and
universities, high schools, other agencies similar to First Step and many other
referral sources.
Insurance usually pays the majority of the cost of Intensive Outpatient
Treatment.
