Insurance:
We are in network with the following Insurance
Companies and are in the process of becoming
in network with others. For those with whom we
are in network, we do all the billing and
assist with authorizations. Your insurance
will often even pay for your assessment. If
you have insurance it is very helpful for you to contact your insurance
company and ask for authorization after your
assessment and prior to entering counseling.
This ensures the most likelihood that they
will assist you with cost.
We will contact
them as well, but they are much easier to
convince if you become involved in the
authorizations and re-authorizations.
Insurance companies do not handle substance
abuse & mental health counseling in the same
manner they do your typical doctor's
treatment. Client/Patient involvement is
necessary to ensure they assist you with
paying for treatment. Insurance will usually
pay for your DWI substance abuse or
alcohol and drug counseling programs other
than ADETS or education.
We are in network
for our Treatment Programs with the following:
-
Cigna
-
Blue Cross Blue
Shield
-
NC State Employees Health Plan and
Federal Blue Cross.

Self Pay:
Self Pay/Cash: Allows those without
insurance to pay cash for services at a
discounted rate if paying the full rate could
cause financial hardship. We will usually
match the cost of other programs group fees
within our local area if proof is provided of
the cost of those programs.
The
State of NC sets the ADETS fee at $160 for
NC-DWI clients. Non NC DWI clients are
required to pay $25 for the ADETS manual. The
fees paid to NC DWI Services by First Step
assists clients with the cost
manuals for NC DWI
(508) clients.
Our self-pay rates are very
competitive with programs in the region.
Payment plans may be arranged for post-trial
DWI clients on a case-by-case basis.
